17 ½ " (44cm) Smokey grey German Schulte mohair, toffee coloured South African leather pads. Pale eau de nil Austrian crystal glass eyes. Rather gruff growler. Black embroidered nose to match his Scottish Glengarry with a wee red toorie on the top. Clan Douglas Dress Tartan kilt, made from authentic Highland woollen fabric.
Lieutenant Smokey is obviously a proud officer in an ancient Scottish regiment. The only problem is that he is not sure, himself, which one it is. He wears the Douglas kilt, but, his Glengarry has the Black Watch badge on it, and round his neck he wears an unidentified tartan ribbon, which he chose himself.
I told him that he would look better with a sporrran than the ribbon, which I am sure is not part of a Highland uniform, but I think he must be a wee bit hard of hearing, as I see he still has it on. I notice he is not very steady on his feet. When I asked why, he said he didn't want to talk about it.
